Looking for the best kayaking in Kochi? Paddle through the calm backwaters of Kumbalangi, Kerala’s first model eco-tourism village and just a short drive from the city. Guided by trained local paddlers, you glide past coconut groves and Chinese fishing nets. You also slip through narrow mangrove tunnels alive with birdlife.

- First session starts: 5:30 AM (sunrise kayaking)
- Last session ends: 6:30 PM
- Reporting time: Please reach the launch point 30 minutes before your session start time (for the 5:30 AM session, report by 5:00 AM).
- Last reporting time: 4:00 PM for the final evening session

How your session runs
- Meet at the launch point. Your guide welcomes the group. Drinking water and parking are available here.
- Safety briefing and paddling basics. You put on your life jacket and learn simple paddling technique. No prior experience is needed.
- Choose your kayak. Pick a single or tandem sit-on-top kayak. Keep your phone and valuables in the dry bag.
- Guided paddle. Your trained local guide leads the group on a route chosen to suit the tide and group ability. There are stops for birdlife, scenery and photos.
- Return to the launch point. Wrap up the session, collect your belongings and relax.
Session length is roughly 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the experience. The exact route and timing depend on tide, daylight and weather.

Kumbalangi is about 40 minutes from Kochi by road, and the launch point is close to Kumbalangi Bridge. Directions are shared with your booking confirmation.
